featuring Alie and Dan

I started sitting in with these musicians a couple years ago at their respective shows, and in my dreams I could only imagine how transcendental it would feel to play a full show with both of them.

Their songwriting subjects take me on a journey by land and sea and sky.[1] [2] Together they have groove and poetry and playfulness - all the things I love about original music. Their complementary styles create a new third thing – for me, that feels like I'm playing with a whole new musician, rather than just with Alie, or with Dan, or even just with Alie plus Dan.

You missed the debut show, so stay tuned for the next one. Video incoming, once I can figure out how a phone works and how a computer works.

[Nina better find that dang video here. Nag her!]

[1] www.aliehalla.com catch one of Alie's live performances and request "Between the Tides"

[2] Dan's a multi-instrumentalist multi-genre kinda guy (see evidence). He wrote an Ode to John Muir that paints a vivid image of California in my mind.
